TripVibz is where locals tell visitors what they get wrong about their city. This page says what we collect, why, and how to have it deleted.
What we collect
- If you just browse or vote: an anonymous ID stored in your browser so your votes count once. No name or email.
- If you sign in: what the service you sign in with shares with us: your name and profile photo, plus your email address from Google or Facebook. TikTok gives us your display name, photo and a TikTok user ID, no email.
- What you post: your takes, replies, votes and answers to city questions, and how long you've lived in a city if you tell us.
- Rough location when you post: the city, region and country your internet connection appears to come from, used to tell whether a take was posted from the city it's about. We don't store your IP address with your posts.
- Usage: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity record how pages are used (pages viewed, clicks, scrolling) using cookies, so we can see what works and fix what doesn't.
What's public
Takes, replies and vote counts are public. If you sign in, your first name, photo and Local badge show next to what you post. Anonymous posts show as "Anonymous". Your email address is never shown.
Who else handles it
Supabase stores the database, Cloudflare serves the site, and Google, Facebook (Meta) and TikTok handle sign-in. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity measure usage. We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers.
Delete your data
Email privacy@tripvibz.com from the address you signed in with, or tell us your name on TripVibz and which service you signed in with (TikTok accounts have no email). We delete your account, takes, replies and votes within 30 days and confirm by email. To stop Facebook or TikTok sharing with us, remove TripVibz from the apps list in that service's settings.
